Method 1:

2) Add apk shortcut to do homescreen via my files
2) Reboot the device
3) As soon as you see anything on screen rush it and install the apk asap.

Below is a visual guide:

Method 2:

If you have root, try the below steps to rectify the Application not installed issue:

You need to edit a file in the root folder. You will need a root file explorer app to do this.  Edit “support nfc hw keyboard” line in the file “etc/floating_features.xml” from “true” to “false”:

From

<SEC_FLOATING_FEATURE_COMMON_SUPPORT_NFC_HW_KEYBOA RD>TRUE</SEC_FLOATING_FEATURE_COMMON_SUPPORT_NFC_HW_KEYBOAR D>

To

<SEC_FLOATING_FEATURE_COMMON_SUPPORT_NFC_HW_KEYBOA RD>FALSE</SEC_FLOATING_FEATURE_COMMON_SUPPORT_NFC_HW_KEYBOAR D>

None of the methods are working for me my Samsung Galaxy On5

    • It has been more of a hit and miss. The source where I got it from reported a user having this successfully installed on a J5. It works for a few and doesn’t work for the rest. I would suggest you to download the Galaxy S8 Theme and use it: http://www.themefoxx.com/2017/08/download-galaxy-s8-samsung-theme-samsung-devices.html

Actually since you have the official touchwiz home you can’t overwrite it with a ported or modded one. For this you need the uninstall the official home and then it will be installed but for that, too you need root
