One among the many changes that was announced for Android in the Google IO yesterday is the new Emoji Standard for Android. Gone are those old weird looking emojis which are going to replaced by new simpler ones. While I still prefer the EmojiOne (the one’s found in iPhones) emojis, the new Android emoji’s are far better than the old ones. Read ahead to know how to download and install the latest Emoji from the Android O Developer Preview 2. All credits to the XDA Forum Recognized Developer linuxct for this amazing work!

As already stated in the beginning of the article, there are two versions of the mod.

  1. Type 1 – Requires Magisk Module: Requires Magisk installed, and will work systemlessly, without modifying the system partition of your device. – Recommended by the developer.
  2. Type 2 – Requires Custom Recovery: Replaces the system font inside your device, so making a backup of it before is highly recommended.
