Guide to root Android 8.0 Oreo with SuperSU Zip or Magisk

Android Oreo 8.0 is the latest and sweetest version of Android. Google has rolled out the final version of the Android Oreo over a couple of months ago and the improvements are mostly under the hoods. Apart from that, there are very few changes to the UI – the look and feel.

Whenever a newer version of Android is released, comes the need to find a new way to root the latest Android version which in this case in Android Oreo. If the update is minor, for example from Android 5.0 to Android 5.1, the solution would be much simpler. But for major updates, say Android Nougat to Android Oreo 8.0, there are a few complications.

But fortunately, we have a wonderful developer community for Android and they always deliver, no matter the complications. That is exactly the case with Android Oreo as well. Now, we have two famous ways to achieve root on any Android device. One is the good old SuperSU by the legendary Chainfire and the second is the recently-famous Magisk. Both are really good root solutions, depending on your need.
