A detailed step by step guide on how to Samsung Galaxy Note8 Snapdragon variant. At this point, it is no doubt to anyone that Samsung makes some of the most powerful smartphones in the market. For the flagship phones, Samsung goes all-in every year. Unlike most manufacturers, Samsung has two flagship phones in their line-up every year. The Samsung Galaxy S Series and the Samsung Galaxy Note series. The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is the latest in the Note lineup. Like every year, Samsung released two versions of the same phone – one with the Exynos processor and the other with the Snapdragon Processor. The Exynos variant has got root and TWRP support a few weeks ago. Now, Root is available for Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Snapdragon variant as well.

Warning: Even though this procedure has been tested on other Note 8 Snapdragon devices, it is still in beta. So it may or may not work on your device. Also, do not try this on Exynos variants. You are taking a risk by rooting your device. We or the developer won’t be responsible.

Root-note-8-snapdragon-usa-variant-sm-n950uStep 15:  The phone will reboot to recovery. THIS IS WHERE THE ONLY ISSUE WILL HAPPEN. If you see ANYWHERE ON THE SCREEN “Failed to mount/system(Invalid Argument)” You need to start over from the beginning, but you SHOULDN’T get the error if you followed the directions properly(There are a couple ways to do this. If you have to try again try flashing the BL and the System with the same flags HOWEVER add the Flashbootloader update flag too. then for step 2 only flash the AP, CP and CSC with the same flags then also add the flash bootloader update flag.). From there push the power button to select “Reboot to system”.

Step 16: Once phone boots up, Setup your device as normal and proceed to the SuperSU app. It will ask you to update the SU Binary. Select Normal method and let it do its thing. A popup should show up to disable KNOX. Follow its instructions then SU should say it was Successful in updating and it needs to reboot(You may have to do it multiple times. I believe its 2 or 3 times then its good) ENJOY SamFAIL ROOT!
