Get the latest HTC U11 Android Oreo update right now! Android Oreo was unveiled by Google several months ago. Some manufacturers like OnePlus has already released stable Oreo builds for some of their phones. Still, a lot of manufacturers are yet to release official Oreo Update for their device or have already released an Android Oreo Beta for some of their devices. Surprisingly, HTC U11 has received the Official Android Oreo update today.

Android Oreo comes with a lot of improvements, new features and a couple of subtle but nice UI changes. Auto-Fill API and Picture-in-picture mode are some of the more noticeable features that come with the Android Oreo update. HTC is one of those manufacturers who like to stick as close to stock as possible. So, we are guessing all the stock Android goodness along with useful HTC features are coming with the latest Android Oreo Update for HTC U11.

  1. DEAR SRI,

  2. I have failed to update the software.
My home button and fingerprint scanner stopped working three days ago so I tried to manually installed the update. (I got the automatic update a week ago so I was with Android 8.0.0). I tried RUU on htc official site but kept getting the error that it can’t connect/recognize my phone (I tried two different PCs and three cables and still didn’t work).
I found this website and I tried to download the file from:
    Download HTC U11 Oreo OTA 1.28.709.33 to 2.31.709.1 – Download | Mirror.
and changed the file name and put it into the internal storage. but
    1. I don’t have “Update” in setting but only “About phone” -> “Software update.
so I tried that and checked for updates. it showed “no update available”.
    2. then I left the zip file in the internal storage and reboot under recovery (with method 2). It says can’t find any files.

Any help would be appreciate! if you happened to know how to fix the fingerprint scanner, it would be awesome! (The scanner had been not responsive occasionally when the phone got wet twice before but it resumed the next day. During those hours, the fingerprint setting was not loading when I tapped it. but this time, the fingerprint setting is totally gone from the setting and I couldn’t find it anywhere. It’s just gone!)

    Thank you!
