  1. Made my phone perform horribly. I tried to remove it and the phone’s performance was still terrible. I ended up doing a factory reset. Now my phone is performing properly once again. Too bad, I was hoping this would work out on my Galaxy S5

    • I highly doubt that this launcher apk slowed down the device. I have tried this on phones from different OEMs and different Android versions, no issues at all. Could it possibly be because if any other app that you might have jbstinsta? What version of Android are you running?

      • I am running the latest official update for a Verizon Galaxy S5, it is 6.0.1. Of course it could be caused by some other app, but the performance problem started right after installing the launcher apk. I removed it, but the performance was still bad. Since there is no real uninstaller for APKs, I presume some bits got left behind. I noticed the Google Now feed changed how you interact with it after the APK was installed. After I removed it, that feed behavior didn’t change. That is what made me suspect the APK. I just finished doing a factory reset on the phone and re-installing most of what I use and the performance of the phone is noticeably improved.

          • It may work just fine for others. It could just be my Verizon Galaxy S5. I don’t have the luxury of time to try it again, should it give me the same results.

Is there a way to cleanly uninstall this? Could you provide instructions to do so? I would be more likely to try it again if I could remove it without having to do a factory reset.

I have to say that after the reset, the phone is performing very nicely. To be honest, I will probably try it again within the next few weeks because I’m rather intrigued now to see if the APK really was the cause.

          • I highly doubt that the APK was the cause for slow down. If you want to cleanly uninstall an app without any leftovers: after uninstalling the app, try running SD Maid (Get it on Google Play). It will delete the leftover residual files from uninstalled apps.
