Bixby is Samsung’s answer to Google Assistant, but not a very good one. But, there is a dedicated Bixby button you can either disable or use it in some other way. In this guide, we will tell you how you can remap Bixby button to almost to toggle Google Assitant or Torch or to pretty much anything you want.
Bixby is the virtual assistant developed by Samsung Electronics. It is an artificial intelligence system that’s designed to make device interaction easier, specifically designed to avoid the complexity of increasingly fully-featured devices. It is the replacement of the S Voice which was launched in 2012 alongside the Galaxy S3. Bixby debuted alongside the Galaxy S8 and the S8+ and is also part of all Samsung’s flagship devices which were launched henceforth. It can also be sideloaded on older Galaxy devices running Android Nougat. It comes in three parts, known as Bixby Voice, Bixby Vision, and Bixby Home.
It’s Samsung’s attempt to take on the likes of Siri, Google Assistant, Cortana, and Alexa, with a new AI agent that’s going to span Samsung devices. Samsung felt so strongly about pairing Bixby with the Galaxy flagships that it built a hardware button onto the device specifically for Bixby.
