Asus has launched some interesting phones this year. Starting with the launch of the Zenfone 5 series at MWC 2018, Asus launched the Zenfone Max Pro M1 in India which became a very popular budget offering. A couple of months ago at the Computex 2018 event that was held in Taiwan, Asus announced a new member to the ROG (Republic Of Gamers) Family, the ROG Phone which is designed specially keeping the need of gamers in mind. Saying so, it packs in the same hardware and software that can be found in the Zenfone 5Z.
It packs in a 12 MP primary camera with 1/2.55″ sensor, f/1.8 aperture lens (24mm-equivalent focal length) and 8Mp secondary wide-angle camera with 1/4″ sensor, f/2.2 aperture lens (12mm equivalent focal length). The main sensor is optically stabilized to make video footage look smooth and to capture better low light shots. It is also aided by Dual Pixel autofocus technology. Both the cameras support electronic image stabilization. The hardware is powered by Asus’s proprietary PixelMaster camera algorithm.

This combination of hardware and software has helped the Zenfone 5Z to earn a DxOMark score of 90 points which is very good for a device in its segment. For a quick recap, Google Pixel also scored 90 points in the DxOMark tests. XDA Contributor linuxct managed to port for other devices and was able to get most features except SuperResolution, TimeLapse, and Zenimoji working. Here are a few screenshots from the app:
This ported apk was tested on the Google Pixel 2 XL and the Huawei Mate 10 Pro running stock Android 9 Pie and EMUI 9-based Android Pie respectively, and there was no problem visible. Saying so, the app crashed on OnePlus 6 and Samsung Galaxy Note 9.
