It has not been even two weeks since the launch of the budget Pixel smartphones the 3a and 3a XL, and it has gotten itself in a place of bother. According to numerous forums like Reddit, and Google Support Pages, the users have reported the random shutting down of their Pixel 3a smartphone. The users are calling this issue “Sleep Bug”. Moreover, the users had to perform a hard reset in order for their phone to wake up and start functioning.
However, it is still not clear, what is causing this problem. According to the reports, users are facing this issue with the Pixel 3a XL as well. But, no one has till now figured out what the main problem is that is causing this issue. Many users even rebooted their device into safe mode, and still experienced the same issues even after removing all the third party apps. This only suggests that this could be Google Software-related issue.
According to a report by Android Police, this problem can strike the device anytime it is not active. Besides, to get out this situation you always have to perform a hard reset. This is not the very first time the pixel line-up of Google has had a major problem. The original Pixel phones were affected with microphone problems, which eventually resulted in lawsuits from the device owners. Soon after the Pixel 3 launch, users reported last year that their phones were not saving their photos and videos.
Some of the Pixel 3a and 3a XL owner who are experiencing this issue are returning their smartphones. They are in the hope that the company will address this issue and the replacement devices do not come up with the same issue. The Pixel devices have a bad history of bugs and issues. Hopefully, this will a minor fix and Google will provide the user the actual pixel experience that they always talk about.
